Fellowship Events

Celebrate America’s Birthday with a Potluck Dinner and a Patriotic Mystery Guest -- July 4, 2010. Our guest last year was Francis Scott Key; who will it be this year?  Join us for an evening of food, singing songs of America, and the opportunity to learn something new from our patriotic past.

Coming up on August 22nd is Movie Night and popcorn. Watch for more information as we get closer to the date. As always we will have Kasuko's carmelcorn!

On September 26th, we will have a special event! Our guest speaker for the evening, Col. Thomas Schaefer, was the Air Force attaché and senior military officer in Iran during the 444-day hostage situation in 1979.  His faith was vital to him during those trying days, and his insights and experiences are an inspiration to all. Col. Schaefer is retired and resides in the valley. We will have a catered dinner starting at 5:30 pm.

Wellness Presentations

The Health Committee will be sponsoring one Sunday a month as Wellness Sunday. To give you ideas for maintaining your physical, mental and spiritual health, we will have talks on various subjects. The committe meets monthly. We welcome new members of any background who are interested in promoting good health, to offer more variety in planning, an implementing our various programs. Currently only three members are RNs. We could use more!

Caring Corps - The Health Committee will be starting a service which will be aimed at providing simple services to those just released from the hospital or who are homebound for a time or who could use a little help now and then. This will be a corps of persons who are interested in helping one another when the need arises. Be sure and turn in your yellow sign-up sheet in the box just outside the church office. If you didn't get a sheet, there are copies available in the Narthex where the Bulletins are found.
