Ministry Purpose & goals

The Spirit of Grace Memorial Service Reception Ministry provides light snacks or light lunches following a funeral or memorial service of a church member or their family.

A memorial gathering at Café Grace is time that's set aside for friends and family to gather to share food, fellowship and memories of the person who has died.  It is an important step in the grieving process because it allows people to connect and begin to heal.

The Memorial Service Receptions Ministry handles all the arrangements for purchasing the light snacks or light luncheon as requested by the family, arranging for coffee, ice tea, lemonade and water, and handling room set-up and clean up.

The goal of Memorial Service Reception members is to ease this burden of serving food and beverages for the families in their time of grief.
