WORSHIP AND MUSIC
Provides input to keep our worship services timely while honoring the liturgical calendar of the Church. Spirit of Grace has a mixed choir, The Joyful Spirit Singers; small singing groups, Sounds of Grace and Women of Grace; and Grace Hand Chimes.
Teams of individuals who bring worship service with music, message, and Holy Communion on Saturday or Sunday to assisted living centers or nursing homes in the area.
Each year we have nine social events designed around various activities to encourage fellowship among the members of the Spirit of Grace family. Some of our events have been trips to dinner theater, plays and skits featuring our own members, musical programs, speakers, Hawaiian luau, picnics, and a progressive dinner.
Super Saturday Supper
Join your fellow worshipers for our Super Saturday Supper every second Saturday in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the 5:00 pm Worship Service. What a great way to visit with other Spirit of Grace worshipers! Sign up on the Worship Folder with the code SS and the number attending. Cost is $11.00 per person. Please remember that the church must pay for all suppers ordered, even if you don’t come. If you need to cancel a reservation, please do so before the Tuesday preceding the supper.
Following Sunday Worship Services refreshments are served at Cafe Grace in the Fellowship Hall. This provides an opportunity for fellowship and conversation with fellow members and guests.
Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA)
All women are invited to participate in various programs focusing on women in ministry to others as well as the women’s Circles which are small groups that meet monthly.
Monthly breakfast in the Church Fellowship Hall centered around a scripture passage or other devotional material.
ONES IN CHRIST
An informal group of single men and women who get together for social events at members’ homes, at the church, or in the community.
The Card Ministry group makes handcrafted greeting cards to be sent to shut-ins, those recovering from surgery or illness, those having a special birthday such as 75 or 80, and the bereaved. If you would like to learn how to make these one-of-a-kind cards, please join the group on the first Wednesday of each month at church at 1:00 and discover how easy and fun they are to complete.
If you have supplies such as ribbons, cardstock, scrapbook paper, brads, eyelets, rubber stamps, ink pads, colored pens and pencils, etc. that you would like to donate, those items would be greatly appreciated.

A group praying for the physical or spiritual needs of others.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Women of the congregation knit and crochet shawls and/or lap blankets using their talents to help those who are ill feel the love, prayer, and concern of others wrap around them.
Volunteers provide meals, transportation to doctors or medical facilities, light housework, or handyman chores for those who are recovering from surgery or who are shut in.
The Health Committee sponsors various presentations for maintaining your physical, mental, and spiritual health. The Health Committee welcomes your ideas for topics to be covered.
Spirit of Grace provides the schools in Wittman (Nadaburg Elementary and Middle School) with hygiene and toiletry products as well as other sundry items. We ask for your unused hotel shampoos, conditioners, soap for donation to these students to meet their basic hygiene needs. Items may be placed in the plastic bins in the Fellowship Hall cabinet labeled “Phoenix Crisis Nursery.”
Cancer Support Group
The faith-based Cancer Support Group meets at 10:00 am the second and fourth Thursdays each month. The group is open to everyone. “We dedicate ourselves to seeking physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness through our faith in God.” Call the church office for details.
Provides support for those who are responsible for the care of another. Meets the second and last Wednesday of the month at 2:00 pm.
