My life’s journey has been varied and blessed. I spent over 25 years in the hotel industry and had the opportunity to live and work all across the USA from Minneapolis to Miami, Chicago to San Diego and many places in between. Travel has been a lifelong passion and these experiences afforded me an opportunity to work and play in various communities and settings. Approximately 20 years ago I met the supportive gentleman I am pleased to call my husband and we continue to travel as time and resources allow. We have experienced National Parks in California, Arizona, Alaska, US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico and our bucket list incomplete.
A lifelong Lutheran I was baptized and confirmed as member of an Augustan Synod church in rural Minnesota. My life’s journey has taken me far and wide with Worship experiences in small and large congregations from Mt Olivet in Minneapolis to a mission congregation here in the Phoenix area. At Spirit of Grace, a member of the church council and participate in outreach ministries to our community at assisted living facilities and on an individual basis and serve as President of our WELA (women’s ministries). Last summer and again this year l serve as facilitator for our Adult Vacation Bible School in August. Today, my goal as a Lutheran is to support and assist voices to the issues that Martin Luther raised. Population trends in the US and Western Europe have demonstrated a decrease in births in the Caucasian families and increased birthrate in Minority groups. This magnifies the mission of our church to build on the emerging population in today’s world and the coming generations. I don’t pretend to have all the answers but appreciate the opportunity to work within a framework dedicated to perpetuating the faith I have found a mainstay of my life.
