James Hersch in Concert
Sunday, September 21@6:30pm
Our friend, James Hersch, Singer/Songwriter, will be in concert at Spirit of Grace, sharing his many musical talents.
Tickets to this concert at FREE BUT REQUIRED and can be obtained by calling 480-438-1115 in advance. Doors will open at 6:00, and the concert begins at 6:30.
Beginning in 1984, James made the commitment to write and perform his own songs, and he performed throughout the U.S., honing his craft in the college coffeehouse circuit. As a career singer and songwriter, pursuing each in Nashville and Los Angeles, he loves to present the story and the song. Do you like Chapin, John Denver, Croce, Buffett, JT, Joanie, Prine - and a strong acoustic guitar? Then you’ll enjoy this show.
Honors have followed James as stage performer (Club and Coffeehouse), film score composer (PBS Television) and in his work providing music for shelters, prisons, hospice and head start programs. James would ultimately be enshrined in the College Coffeehouse Hall of Fame and go on to win the prestigious Telly and Harry Chapin Awards.
James and his wife Candy moved from Minnesota and reside in the Grand. He has blessed our community by establishing the Songwriters of Grand, a talented subgroup of the Music Club.
Salty Dawgs in concert

This concert at FREE BUT TICKETS ARE REQUIRED and can be obtained by calling 480-438-1115 in advance. Doors will open at 6:00, and the concert begins at 6:30.
Spirit of Grace welcomes the Salty Dawgs on Wednesday October 22 at 6:00, with doors opening at 5:30. The Salty Dawgs, six local musicians, who rely on music from the folk era, have been expanding their repertoire to include a variety of western, country, and humorous songs. They have added an accomplished fiddler and keyboard player, allowing them to include instrumentals and other well-known standards. And they love to encourage audience participation in a sing-along format.
A free-will offering will be taken, and ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to Soldier’s Best Friend, an Arizona-based 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to pairing and training service dogs that are provided at no cost to eligible U.S. Military veterans living with combat-related PTSD or Traumatic Brain Injury. Most of the dogs are rescued from local shelters.
Come on out and enjoy the Salty Dawgs and support the Soldier’s Best Friends!
